DRB Group’s highly experienced valve specialists are able to meet all your process and control valve requirements. We provide a fully-professional valve maintenance and repair service, along with the supply of high-quality replacement process and control valves.
Whilst we focus on quality, we are always mindful of your potential budgetary requirements, meaning we work with you to find an optimal valve solution for your business.
Valves are typically a key component of complex processing systems. If the valve fails unexpectedly, the resultant downtime and loss of production can have significant financial consequences for your business. Valves that are not regularly maintained or serviced may look perfectly fine externally, but hidden worn internal components can cause the valve to malfunction, leading to plant operations being significantly affected.
DRB are the experts you can trust to service, refurbish, repair and retrofit your valves and operating equipment. Whether we undertake the work at our dedicated workshop and testing facilities on Deeside, or through one of our mobile workshops, we focus on providing a high-quality service and value for money.
Servicing & Repair
DRB provides in-house and on-site repair services for all types and makes of relief valves including Crosby, Anderson Greenwood, Bailey Birkett, Farris, Hopkinsons, Dewrance, Seetru and Kunkle.
Our team of experienced technicians, combined with our extensive workshop and testing facilities, can undertake work on any relief valve as standard up to 8” and 4000 psig rating. Our test procedures comply fully with BS EN ISO 4126-1: 2004 and this is backed up with accurate detailed documentation and data management in the form of a “valve-passport”. The process covers:
- Visual inspection and diagnosis
- Pre-test (relief & safety valves)
- Disassemble, clean, inspection and report
- Nominal lapping of seating faces
- Reassembly and testing
- Certification and tagging
- Protection of ports from contamination
- Re-painting/powder coating
- Issuing of test certificate
DRB’s valve-passport provides full traceability of the work undertaken on the valve from leaving your site, through initial rigorous inspection by our engineers to the subsequent service or repair processes, to final testing and certification before being delivered and commissioned on-site.
